Yellow on my mind.
Last week I went through my paintings in order to chose a collection for my upcoming events. In the wonderful mess of colours and subjects spread out all over the house the yellow-dominant paintings stood out the most.
I’ve realised I reach for a vibrant lemony yellow almost exclusively in winter. This year, back in a cold and dull February, everything in our garden was drained of colour. Except for an Acai (Mimosa) tree – a specimen with intensely saturated yellow blossoms. An instant mood-lift that inspired the painting in the middle.
Does yellow do anything for you?
A selection of my works will be travelling across the three Richmond Borough Summer fairs.
The Affordable Art tent will be showing a vast selection of artworks from the local artist and the pieces are a steal, each for under £100.
The first event is on Richmond Green, Saturday 13 May 2023.
If you are planning on coming, drop me a line.
